It explains the thresholds, exemptions, and scenarios that determine your obligations, ensuring compliance with Canadian tax laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally, you will need to register for your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/tax\/businesses\/topics\/registering-your-business\/you-need-a-business-number-a-program-account.html\">Business Number<\/a>\u00a0(BN)\u00a0<strong>before<\/strong>\u00a0you can register for a GST\/HST account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may register for a BN by using the online service at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/revenue-agency\/services\/tax\/businesses\/topics\/registering-your-business\/business-registration-online-overview.html\">Business Registration Online (BRO)<\/a>.
